The Small Business Association of Jamaica was established in 1974 to represent the small business sector in Jamaica. The SBAJ is a non-profit membership organization, which advocates on behalf of the sector and seeks to influence policy decisions.

The Vision of the SBAJ is to become an organization of national and regional economic importance, political influence and the main voice of the small business sector in Jamaica.
The mission of the SBAJ is to support the Jamaican economy by developing the small business sector through:
- The promotion of entrepreneurship and mentoring of members;
- The facilitation of technical advice, training, consultancy and trade services, employing modern technology;
- Fostering corporate citizenship and good governance.
